Algiers Education Summit & School Expo Announced

Algiers Schools Sought for Participation

(New Orleans, LA – Wednesday, February 15, 2012) – The Algiers Economic Development Foundation will host the Algiers Education Summit & School Expo at Our Lady of Holy Cross College (Moreau Center), 4123 Woodland Drive on Thursday, March 8, 2012 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.

The event will showcase the many premiere schools in Algiers and mobilize education leaders to provide the community with updates on Algiers schools. The community is invited to attend the event, which is free and open to the public.  All Algiers public, private and parochial schools that are interested in participating should RSVP to AEDF’s Education Committee Chair, Leslie Ellison,  lesaellison@aol.com, Thursday, February 23, 2012.

 

Invited Education Summit panelists include: District 2 BESE Member Kira Orange-Jones; Orleans Parish School Board Member Lourdes Moran; Orleans Parish School Board Superintendent Darryl Kilbert; Recovery School District Superintendent Patrick Dobard; Yvonne Mitchell-Grubb, President of the Algiers Neighborhood Presidents Council and Leslie Ellison, Chair of AEDF’s Education Committee.
